Mammut Alpine Trad Sling

A must-have for alpine, ice, trad, and multi-pitch climbers: The single-strand Alpine Trad Sling offers faster and safer handling compared to traditional slings. You wear the Alpine Trad Sling across your chest like a standard round sling, but instead of pulling it over your head and arm, simply unclip the carabiner and pull the sling off your body.

The Alpine Trad Sling uses the same amount of material as a round sling, but instead of being stitched into a closed ring, the single-strand design features a stitched loop at each end to attach a carabiner. Intermediate belays can be quickly and easily shortened from 120 cm to 60 or 30 cm. The single-strand construction reduces the risk of accidental unclipping.

Made from 100% ultra-light Dyneema material, it offers the following advantages over standard nylon: higher strength-to-weight ratio, absorbs less water, and is more abrasion-resistant.
