Refund policy

1. Right of Withdrawal

1.1. The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the purchase agreement within 14 (fourteen) calendar days without providing any reason. The withdrawal period begins from the day the Buyer or an authorized third party receives the goods.

2. Procedure for Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

2.1. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Buyer must notify the Seller by replying to the order confirmation email at celotajs@veikalscelotajs.lv and indicating the items to be returned.

2.2. The Buyer must return the goods to the Seller within 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the date of withdrawal notification. The deadline is considered met if the goods are dispatched before the withdrawal period expires.

2.3. Goods may be returned using one of the following methods:

  • Delivering them to the physical stores: "Ceļotājs" (Brīvības 155-4, Rīga, Latvia) or "Fjällräven Riga Store" (K. Barona 7/9, Rīga, Latvia);
  • Sending via Omniva parcel terminal (Barons kvartāls, Cēsu 31, Rīga), indicating the recipient: Veikals Ceļotājs, Tel. +37127267207, Email: celotajs@veikalscelotajs.lv;
  • Contacting the Seller at celotajs@veikalscelotajs.lv or by phone at +37127267207 to arrange an alternative return method.

3. Refund Procedure

3.1. The Seller will refund the amount paid by the Buyer (excluding additional delivery costs if the Buyer chose a more expensive delivery method than the standard option) without undue delay and no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the receipt and inspection of the returned goods.

3.2. The refund will be issued using the same payment method as the original purchase unless otherwise agreed.

3.3. The Seller reserves the right to withhold the refund until the returned goods have been received and inspected.

4. Return Costs

4.1. The Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with returning goods, including customs and import duties if the return is made outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

4.2. If the return is due to a defective or incorrect product, the Seller will cover the return costs.

5. Condition of Returned Goods

5.1. The Buyer is responsible for any reduction in the value of the goods if they have been used beyond what is necessary to determine their characteristics, functionality, and specifications.

5.2. Goods must be returned in their original packaging, unused, and with all labels intact. If the packaging has been opened, the item must not show signs of use.

5.3. The Buyer must provide additional protective packaging to prevent damage to the goods and their original packaging during transport. For example, shoe boxes must be wrapped in plastic to prevent moisture damage.

6. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

6.1. According to legal regulations, the Buyer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal in the following cases:

  • The product is a hygiene or health-related item, such as earplugs, toothbrushes, combs, personal care products, first-aid kits.
  • The product is a food item, including sports drinks, energy gels, and camping food.
  • The product has been irreversibly mixed with other items.
  • The product was custom-made or personalized.
  • The product perishes quickly or has a short shelf life.
  • The product is a sealed audio, video, or software item, and its protective seal has been removed.
  • The product is a book or stationery item.
  • The product is a gift card or discount voucher.
  • The product was purchased at an auction.
  • The product is part of a pre-booked service, such as accommodation, transportation rental, catering, or entertainment events.

7. Defective or Incorrect Items

7.1. If the Buyer receives a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, they must inform the Seller within 14 (fourteen) calendar days.

7.2. The Buyer has the right to request a replacement, repair, or full refund for defective or incorrect goods.

7.3. The Seller will cover all costs associated with returning such items.

8. Policy Application

8.1. This Return and Refund Policy applies only to purchases made through the online store at www.veikalscelotajs.lv.

8.2. Purchases made in physical stores ("Ceļotājs" Brīvības 155-4, Rīga, and "Fjällräven Riga Store" K. Barona 7/9, Rīga) are not eligible for refunds. However, an exchange may be offered for another product if a valid purchase receipt is provided.
