Regular G-1000 fabric is tougher and denser, but G-1000 HeavyDuty is the next step in durability. Impregnated with Greenland wax on both sides, it limits breathability, so G-1000 HeavyDuty is used in garments that aim for more protection than ventilation.
With G-1000 HeavyDuty clothing, you can safely go out in the thick of it, because the fabric will not be torn, damaged or chafed by sharp branches.
After washing, it is recommended to re-wax with Greenland wax so that the material retains its properties.
